Well, after a busy couple of weeks, followed by a couple of months off (work geeked me out!) I've managed to get LocustWorld MeshAP software running on a Linksys WRT54G router - kind of.

Currently, it will register with Wiana, detect the correct mode to start up in (bridge or gateway) and mesh with other nodes. The installation process is not very clean and easy, but it does work!

There's still quite a bit to do, including getting the captive portal system working and a nice easy installation process. Also, the aodv kernel module is a plain vanilla one, but I need to get the custom LocustWorld one working. If anyone wants to help with this give me a shout!

If you want to have a go, or even better, join in, go to the LocustWorld on the Linksys WRT54G wiki.
